5-6 Multiplayer & Tournament Options

After purchasing 'The Game,' I still have been unable to get any 5-6 Multiplayer games going nor will the Tournament button activate for me - how do you get above 4+ players in multi-player and how do you enter a tournament (keeps saying this function not available on the button...)?

You can´t enter a tournament because this time are no tournaments.
I think, they don´t start tournaments because of the problems they still have.

5-6 MP automatch should work. At this moment, I started a 6-player-game, it searched for 5 other players. (I´ve stopped the search, because I don´t want to play MP.)
You have to click "Multiplayer" >> "Automatch" >> "The game" , than you can choose the scenario you want and how many player you want.
! "Ore for wool" and "Harbour master" you can´t play with more than 4 players ! If you´ve bought only base game, you can only play "First island" with 5 or 6 players.
And - you have to wait, till 4 or 5 other players enter the game you start.

Thanks for the reply; copy on Tournament play; however, on the 5-6 multiplayer, any time I try that above 3-4 (max 4) players, it just keeps 'searching for players,' in either 5, 6, or 5-6 player selection (regardless of map type selected); it never 'finds' anyone to play with though, whereas in 3-4 or 4 player, it almost always finds a group within a minute or two. I have tried the appropriate map(s) with 5, 6, and 5-6 modes selected and it never can find players/start a game - has this affected others? (I've already tried re-installing w/ no change); is there something I'm missing outside of already having purchased 'The Game' - I saw no expansion options for additional multiplayers.

There is NO expansion option for MP. You should be able to play all what you bought with 5/6 players.
It could be a bug, than you can only wait till they fix it.
Also it could be, in the time you have searched, no one other wanted to play 5/6. For example I did never find enough players for "Incas" (3/4 player game), and I searched several times, one time longer than a half hour! A time ago, I also searched for a 5/6 game, but didn´t find enough players. (The only once time I played a 5 player MP game was in the session* Dec2021/Jan2022.)
*Like a tournament, but with nearly 50,000 players!

You could buy "Seafarer" or "Cities&Knights" or both, perhaps it is easier to find 5/6 players in the scenarios of theese expansions.
5/6 player games make fun, but before you start you should read the rules for 5/6. In the 5/6 MP game I played there were 2 players which hadn´t knew the 5/6 rules.

must be a bug, as i still cannot find any games (no matter how long I wait) with more than 4 players in 'The Game' mode - it's a shame, as it would be fun to play w/ more than 4
