AI or cheats taking over?

Have been a player for some time .. had a couple spots locked in a 3 contest.

Suddenly, one of the players took control of one of my important hubs

The third player saw it and droped

I asked the player how it was possible .. of course no answer ..

How is this explained?

Perhaps you play the game "Incas"?
In this game you have a tribe. With 4VP your tribe has a "downgoing". Plants overgrow the settlements. You found a new tribe, you can set 1 new settlement. The overgrowed settlements of your old tribe still bring you ressources. BUT all players can overbuild this overgrowed settlements - also you can overbuild overgrowed setllements of yourself and of the others.
You don´t loose the VP of the overbuilded settlements.

It´s a good idea to read the rules of a game before playing.
