Multiplayer Games (less than 4 friends)

I know so many people that have friends that play Catan in RL but organising 4 people at the same time for an online game is near impossible... usually 2-3 people...

In 2024, why cannot you set up an option to join up with less than 4 then search for randoms to join and create the game...

There is a fix which I know many people use meaning you hit auto join at the same time rolling the dice to get grouped together, if you don't get grouped, you leave the game (annoying the others) then try again... why is this not an option!

Why? You, your friend and me in a game. You dice 7. Which player you rob? Your friend or me? Hm?

You and your friend start an automatch at the same time, and if you are not matched together in the same game, you leave game? In this case you loose the game, you loose ELO, get a worse place in the ranking. (If sometimes the ranking will work again.) Also you loose Karma if you leave game.

Simple solution: Custom match you can also play with 2 players, and AI´s.
Or play "Duel". In RL, if we are 2, we play duel. Perfect game for 2 people.

Leaving a game is unhonorable.
With a friend joining an automatch at the same time and allie against the others, is much more unhonorable.
Leaving a game if you can´t have an alliance with your friend, is... I can´t find a word for such a behaviour.
