My chat doesn't work when I play on steam. It's been years.

It works when I play on the browser but not on steam. It says I don't own the game so I can't write (I have almost 1000 hours.. 1000 hours worth of scrolls right). Trying to contact Catan support never worked too. Man sometimes I would like to interact with the chat... or defend/explain myself when other players don't understand why I target them. Then, everyone targets me because I'm slow, not talking in the chat (so I look unfriendly), they're mad and they insult me and I can't respond. I won't play on the browser I like to stack my hours. Send me a code or do something I'm losing it.

Sometimes everyone is super friendly or even new to the game and I can't help them or just socialize... I mean I want everyone to learn Cities n Knights so badly. And the browser is SO SLOW. I shouldn't have to sacrifice anything to write in the chat HELP ME OUT.

My experience is that in seventy five percent of the games no one reads or responds to chat anyway.
Sometimes I chat with friendly players, but the rate of trolls to nice players is 3 to 1.
All this to say, I feel your pain, but you're not missing out on much.
