We are seeing the same issue, playing Catan with 2 Friends plus 2 AIs, we get as far as the Handshaking, and no further.

when i try to put the password they supplied me with in an email they sent me it does not work and says account dont exist or you used the wrong email and i know that the email i added is the correct one and i was level 25 i am so mad

For the mac users I have followed this and now it is working:
Firstphase:
1-go to finder and press shift+command+(.)
2-the hidden folder library will show up then follow the next steps

Second phase:
1. In finder, go to Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Catan Universe
2. Right-click on the file ‘CatanUniverse.app’ and choose ‘Show Package Contents’
3. In the ‘Contents’ folder, open the ‘MacOs’ folder
4. In the ‘MacOs’ folder, right-click ‘Catan Universe’ and select ‘rename’
5. Rename the file to ‘CatanUniverse’ (with no spaces) and hit enter
6. Go back to Steam and press the ‘Play’ button.

I emailed Catan support and got this back on Nov 4:

"You will not be able to log in or play until you update your game to the latest version 2.2.10, which will automatically connect you to our new servers.

>>>Important information on your account migration:

If you have a registered account, (email and password) your migration flow is as follows:


1. Download update 2.2.10 as soon as it is available for your device

2. Enter your email address and password

3. You will see a prompt that you have received an email

4. We will send you an email with your new password

5. Use that password to login into your account and finish the migration process"

Does anyone know about this 2.2.10 update?

FIX FOR MAC USERS WHO USE TIME MACHINE - If you don't mind AI opponents, do the following to play against AI:
1. Make sure your Time Machine backup volume is attached.
2. Go to the folder where the new CatanUniverse.app file resides (Users/<username>/Apllication Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Catan Universe).
3. Select "Enter Time Machine" from the Time Machine icon in your menubar (top left side of screen).
4. When you have entered Time Machine, click the up arrow on right side of the window to go back to before the updated app was downloaded.
5. Once you have located an older version, click to restore to that version of Catan.

Once it has restored, you can now play the older version of Catan. Note that it won't connect to the network and allow you to play live people.

As a preventative measure, I copied the restored Catan app file to my desktop in case an automatic download occurs installing new version. If that happens, I have a backup copy ready to replace the new, broken version.

After doing this
It doesn´t say that it doesn´t find the executable, and it begins but I can´t see anything, the grafics are out!! :(
