Okay Catan - I quit - the robbers have taken over...
I love this game - and I rarely make a negative post - even when a game is bad.

Sadly - as many others have noted - Catan Universe seems to be barely playable right now.

It's dull and frustrating. Basically sitting there being robber-spammed and waiting several turns for a chance to do anything much at all. Even in dice mode.

Zero fun.

I don't want to - but I am giving up on this game. It's such a shame. But I think giving up is better than wanting to throw your computer against the wall.

Hope they can fix it.

Yeah, they need to do something about robbers, it's becoming rather annoying having to deal with that more than playing the actual game 9 out of 10 matches. The one time we had 7 drop every five minutes or so was the most fun we've had in the game where we actually got play and use our resources and build and what not. I understand that 7 should happen fairly often, but when it's by far the most rolled number and nothing else can come even close.... yeah, not fun.

I feel like it has changed. I was second guessing myself because I really enjoyed playing for a long time - so I just had another go. I had a 6, 8, 2 5s, a 10 and an 11 to start. With all resources covered. I picked up no cards for ages. Got robber spammed over and over. Waited ages to hoard enough cards to build a road (via trade) and got robbed. Sat and watched the AIs build and use cards and have a great time. Got robber spammed some more. Decided three times not to rage quit and carried on in deeper frustration. Until finally thank Persphone I lost and the game ended and the nightmare ended too. Basically all my games for the last few weeks have been like this. It can’t be just bad luck as I have dice mode on. I fink that’s enough now.

Lol you guys are being ridiculous. It takes 50 turns at least for the dice distribution curve to start to fill out. I highly doubt the devs don't know how to code a pair of dice, something you learn in any 1st year coding course. You just got unlucky rolls, quit blaming the devs because you lost LOL.

It's not. And the only people that make this claim, are people that don't understand how statistics work.

The game has become nothing more than pick the lucky number. If you happen to choose the right number, you win. As someone that plays the actual physical board game, number spamming happens once maybe in 50 games versus about once in every 5 games with this version

I'm posting this after I just won a game in 35 rolls, where 5 was rolled 11 times in that span. Guess who luckily had 5's locked down. Yep, me. It's not just the losers that point this out.

So? What is this supposed to prove?

Did you even understand what the person you quoted just wrote?
