Crash, Freeze, Bug : no improvements at all

Hey dear fellows developers / maintainers @ Exozet

I really like this game, but I 'm thinking of stop playing it since it's not possible to play your game in a competitive way because of crashes, freezes and bugs that directly impact user experience in a critical way.

The problem is that your game looks more like and abandon-ware, than a software that is stable and maintained enough to pretend asking for money, and it's not improving with time

2 options :

1 - you (or you hire people to) fix those critical bugs as soon as possible ( I can find good developers for you if you want)

2 - you stop asking for money (and yeah, F2P is asking for money, even more), you make it fully free and make the project open-source so that the community can fix those bugs for you (do it, and everything will be fixed in 2 days)

On my side, I really want to continue to play this game, but since its really not playable enough to have fun, I gonna have my fun another way, I gonna try to post here every single time I got a crashed / frozen game, with a few details.

Since I (still try to) play a few games a day, I have a few crashes a day, so if I don't give up this will be a long and rich experience :)

(ps: I started that thread in the wrong forum (the "Catan" one) and fed it since almost a month, so i gonna copy here my replies form the original thread, indicating original date for each one)

EDIT 01/01/2020 :
To start this new year, I gonna resume bugs listed in this thread since a month :

- the GIFYEAL bug/freeze ("Game Is Frozen and You Gonna Lose ELO Again, LOL")
=> a player gets out of time, his turn do not ends, and game get stuck
Occuring most of the time at the begining of the game, but not always, it can occur after some turns, even in late game.
occurence listed here : 14
probable cause : bad management of light connection issues

- the STYLEDO bug ("Surprise Time ! You Lose ELO ...and you DOnt know why")
=> You connect to Catan Universe OR get out of a game that went without any issue, and when you arrive on the main menu screen you get the message "You were kicked from the last game".
Obviously it occurs even where you were not kicked, nor disconnected, and without had aborting any game previously.

probable cause : bad management of games abortment / cancelation

- the INSTAKICK bug
=> during a game, you get kicked, for no reasons, instantly.
It occurs anytime during a game.
occurence listed here : 3
probable cause : no clues

- the LINOT bug ("Lol It's NObody's Turn")
=> the game begin, and nobody can play, since it's nobody's turn.
occurence listed here : 1
probable cause : bad management of game initialization or basic game rules

- the BOSYGO bug ("BOom ! Surprise ! Your Game is Over")
=> after a crash or killing the game, you try to reconnect to your current game, that you just left without "quit" the game, and when you try to rejoin you get the message "You or one of you opponent has a bad connection, please try again later", and you are not able to rejoin the game which look canceled..

probable cause : bad management of light connection issues

- the NAIPFYL bug ("Now AI Plays For You, LOL")
=> a player get replaced by an AI, and then come back in the chat, but he was not allowed to play
the game looks frozen for him, he's not able to play, just chat, and he can watch the AI playing for him.
occurence listed here : 1
probable cause : bad management of player exit in a given game

estimation of ELO points I personally lost unfairly in a single month : 220 ELO points

Mr. Bug collector, are you aware of an issue with adding friends? Every time my friends and I try and add one another it says we can't find each other and we "lose connection to the server." Was hoping you knew of a possible fix.

Dear Winston, I did a kind of diary like this on the official Facebook page once. Guess what :) They blocked me.Yeah!
I would be so great seeing the disconnection etc bugs fixed. Afterwards they could work with the real problems with this adaption.
Keep on the good work, even if it doesen't help.

Despite reinstalling the game multiple times as was suggested in another thread, I have a fix for a few issues that I was experiencing.

Make sure that "Tournaments" mode is disabled before entering any game by changing the other game options until the "Tournaments" option is greyed out.

Hey guys,

I was off for a few days, I just launched a first game since like a week...

AND WOW, EPIC TIME !!!

First I was spammed with multiple non-sense notifications :

...so I try restarting the game ( as usual with such a stable software ) and I get the most EPIC bug ever, I will not name it since I think (OH GOD I HOPE) that it will never happen again.

- RED START WITH 3 SETTLEMENTS
- MY TURN TO PLAY EVEN IF I ONLY PLACED ONE SETTLEMENT

even the basic game rules aren't coded properly... LOL

That's why I stick to this game, everyday, new bug-related fun.

I had the time to play one short game, so as usual I made the mistake of launching Catan Universe... and i had another GIFYLEAL bug, as usual a waste of time, and unjustified loss of karma and ELO points... some days it's less funny as usual.

bug simple description : a player have a connection issue (for some seconds), he get replaced by an AI, and then he come back in the chat, but he was not allowed to play, the game was apparently frozen in the middle of the first turn for him, he was just back in the chat.

I'm sure you agree this one is quite funny, especially for the guy looking at the AI playing for him : LOL
