Stuck at start of the game

This is getting annoying now. This happens 2/3 or more games at the start of the game when people start choosing their settlements. One of the players timer runs out, but the game doesnt force a settlement down, instead it goes into limbo where the game doesnt progress so I am forced to quit. After I reload the game it says I got kicked. Is there a way to reconnect (I am playing on PC)? today I tryed playing around 7 games but got to play only 1.

Lately playing catan is a real pain. Dices, kicking and losing elo for no reason etc. Could be much better

This is happening to me right now too. Loaded into a 3-player C&K game on Four Islands, the first player says in the chat that they've settled, but third player and I can't see it, and the turn timer has run out without the game forcing down a settlement in third & my view. Kicktimer began for first player, but then stopped, and all three of us are still here not wanting to quit (we'd lose karma).

It's been 10 minutes, and nothing...

play against bots. it the only way.
online is bugged you'd be lucky to finish a game, whichout getting DCed.
supposedly they were going to allow to reconnect but it doesn't seem to work according to forum posts here. don't want to risk any more karma testing myself...

exactly, it almost feels like this is intentional, bc of frequency and the game would continue if the player started another game, you can two places at once. idk

Well what did you expect?
Obviously their networking code is garbage tier. They would have to rewrite most of it to fix this, the game is 'portable' and 8+ years old. Very unlikely they'd do something like that..

Are there still admins around to check in for such problems? i also had this problem several times now, pretty annoying.

The most recent "Patch" seemed to really screw this game up, if that was possible. Every time I win on an Auto match it locks up at the end and I have to use Steam to shut the game down. Garbage tier is an optimal description...

This has happened to me 7 times today, all in season. First I thought it was the green player, then the player on the left of the screen...Sometimes its the 2nd player to place, sometimes its the final settlement in setup

Same here- why can't they fix this? And where is a forum to post bugs - I've been looking for it and if it's around it's very well hidden. They just say email [e-mail] with your user name, and that info was difficult to track down
