how much depth/variety is there to the co-op content? and how much is worth buying just for co-op?

only started watching battlestar galactica yesterday, been itching for a co-op space rts that's more tactics-focused after homeworld 3 flopped and sins 2 is mostly economy, is this worth grabbing two copies of just for co-op? and if so which dlcs?

This is WEGO TBS, not RTS. Also, the multiplayer is collection of single missions (skirmish style) - no MP campaign. The co-op is fun, though.

The best DLCs add to the SP campaign mode. If you’re looking for something that’s basically just for MP, get the Modern Ships Pack. You can’t use those ships in the SP campaign.

You absolutely can use the Modern Ships Pack in the Single Player Campaign.
