When playing this one, I always stay low and swing around to the left side of the station to avoid the caustic dust clouds. The Cylons are constantly bombarding me with nukes, but none of them have ever hit the station So, I think it is something you are doing, not the Cylons. If you are going straight in, it may be that the Cylon basestar that is firing the nukes will hit the station because your movement places the station between you and the basestar. That's about the only explanation I can think of. I also always make sure ALL the Cylons are dead before I move in to the station and I don't launch my raptor until they are all gone.
I made sure the nukes didn't hit the station, but I think what was happening was they kept trying to fire at my raptor and were hitting the station - even while it was docked.
At any rate, I took your advice and waited until all Cylon ships were destroyed before boarding at that did the trick. Thanks for the advice!
Good to hear.
This mission is one of many where you may want to make sure all of the Cylons are gone before you launch your raptor.
If you launch your raptor before then, you risk getting it shot down by Cylon Raiders and the remaining enemy ships still active and leading to some unwanted results.
If the Cylon Raiders kill all of your Vipers and are still hanging around, use your battlestars' point defense turrets to kill them before you launch your raptors. Of course, you can use your Vipers to escort your raptors. Sometimes that works, it just depends on how many Raiders there are. I always wait until all the Cylons are dead. After that, it's game over - at least the hard part. LOL.
