IL-Series included?

I grew up in the 1980s in Europe, BSG was much bigger growing up than star wars.
I am craving a game like this, but must admit it seems pretty pricey for a poor workin' boy.

Does the game contain any reference to the IL-series cylon?

Yes.

There are three of the IL series...all Cylon leaders. The model for the one called "Clothos" - a pre-humanoid female - can be seen at the very end of the BSG movie, "Blood and Chrome." The others, "Atropos" and "Lachesis" are more like Cylon Centurions you see in the 2004 BSG series, only heavier and more "advanced."

I would warn you that this is set in the RDM timeline, not the 1980s series timeline, therefore no lasers, shields and no original cylon race references.
Oh, and a general tip if you plan on ever picking it up (either in a sale or whatever), don't just pick the base game up, pick up broken alliance with it.
That is the only "essential" DLC to pick up, as it is plugging into the base game and one needs to restart without it.
