Is Adamant a reference to Adam Ant...?

Maybe because I am old enough to remember Adam Ant (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Ant) I thought how coincidental the name of the frigate AdamAnt is to the pop star. Any theories on a connection? ;)

There's a connection with the English word "adamant", and Adam Ant's name was a play on words to that effect as well. :)

I think that the connection is speculation at best, I think it is just based on the word Adamant as in refusing to be persuaded or to change one's mind. Which is a perfect name for the ship i think

Given the Greek Mythology overlap in BSG, I'd say that it was related to the mythical stone of Adamant (supposedly unbreakable and harder than Diamond).
