Is there a way to add a custom name to the list of battlestars in Skirmish?

Skirmish, Anabasis and multiplayer use a set list. No custom names.

It's a real roundabout way, but many custom names I've given to ships in the campaign have shown up in those lists. Not all of them, but quite a few. Some examples would be; Newark, Selene, Rainier, Saratoga, Pacifica, etc. It's weird and a bit selective, but they do show up over time.
