Why Isn't "Galactica" One of the Ship Name Options in Skirmish?

The topic title says it all. Why can't I name my Jupiter Mk. II Galactica in Skirmish? For that matter why can't I custom name any of my ships in Skirmish? The campaign mode allows you to.

thats something many people are worried about I guess, also since the Daybreak update I noticed they removed Pegasus from the list since the mercury Battlestar is available... I've looked it up three times and would look it up once again to be sure but it seems like there are some trolls at black labs that just want to see the world burn 😅 kinda funny that Osiris is still part of the list though we have an Orion class in the game now just waiting for that being removed aswell -.-

Yeah, it is slightly annoying. I recreated the Battle of New Caprica with and couldn't rename my Jupiter to Galactica.

Can you include a space or full stop at the end? Or perhaps an incorrect spelling? Not ideal I know, but a work around of sorts.
