Deadlock Timeline
This is me just being curious how others view the timeline of the games. Based on the games, Deadlock / Broken Alliance covers the first two years of the war (based on the war lasting another 10 years after the Battle of Marathon. Sin and Sacrifice follows next and includes the 1 year cease fire for the Kobol Alliance. Galactica's Resurrection missions starti 3 years later and finishes within a year (if the recaps prior 5 years mention starts at the beginning of the war). From Blood & Chrome the timing of the Ghost Offensive is roughly 10 years into the war. Does this seem right to others in the group? And if so the Colonial Fleet quickly crew if the Jupiter class was already out within the first two years. I would have expected the Artemis would have had to hold the line for a longer period as Jupiters were being developed and constructed.

The base campaign and broken alliance take place in the 5th year of the war and Sin and Sacrifice ends in the 7th.

You then have a years ceasefire and then 2 years of repairing galactica, with the ship relaunching in year 10 for resurrection. Ghost fleet Offensive we know from B&C takes place around year 10/11.

It’s most likely that the developers wrote the ending cutscene for the base game then changed their minds when they got to write the rest of the war through the expansions.

There's nothing stopping a campaign being a prequel, though it will obviously affect the player's ability to reuse fleets and certain ships wouldn't be accessible, so I'm guessing they wont do that

I had the base game covering the first two years as it ends with Marathon, and then notes the war lasted another decade. I thought I read the First Cylon War lasted 12 years.

galactica was built in year 2 of the war, mentioned in the miniseries and in one late episode by tyrol. the war lasted 12 years, two years for the first season, three year gap, then somehow season 2 takes place over 5 years.

this is what happens when your resident lore master doesn't actually know the lore, as they made the assumption that galactica was built in year 6 based on the original series bible, in which case the math checks out.
