How do you get support ships?
Hey, guys. New player here. I've been trying to figure out how the heck you get support ships in the campaign. Only one I seem to have access to is the big shipyard you start with. I figured maybe it was a blueprint you got from the story missions, but I'm now nearing the end of the main campaign and still no support ships in sight. They sure would be handy right about where I am.

Is there an extremely well hidden tab in the shipyard/blueprint screen that I'm missing?

Thanks.

If you’re not playing the Base campaign combined with broken alliance then you won’t have access to it.

The second support ship is the defender, which is unlocked in the Ghost Fleet offensive expansion and is only usable in the ghost fleet offensive and armistice campaigns.

Huh... that's a strange choice. I would've expected there to be at least one or two support ship choices in the base game, with DLC adding more. But then the more I see of the campaign the more it seems filled with strange choices.

Thanks.

IIRC, support ships were a new addition in general.
