Atlas: nerf?
Just asking because in recent games it seems like the Atlas has a weaker hull now. Just wondering if there any reliable source on it?

Latest patchnotes aee here:

but the only thing I see about the Atlas is that they "Fixed Atlas broadside turret positions".

Are the in-game stats the same as in the guide?

Sir_Wagglepuss III has not yet updated the Ship Guide to correspond to the latest DLC. Everything there is accurate up to Anabasis.
The stats guide will be updated soon - From what I've checked though, there have been very few direct stats changes this time. Nothing like the big balance overhaul we had with Anabasis. Atlas hull should be untouched - But the Colonial weapon changes in the public part of the Anabasis release could make the Atlas not feel as tanky in a Colonial mirror match - Colonial heavy guns going from 2 to 3 damage, and both heavy guns / BS-Arty getting accuracy buffs made a lot of Colonial fleet much more lethal on that patch.

I did feel that right away the Atlas is less tanky now but I'm still figuring if it is still worth having in the fleet now. Will keep you guys posted if you like

I believe the Atlas has moved up on the targeting priorities for the AI- they're shooting it for preference, even above the Janus, which was their favorite before the patch.

That might be why it feels less tanky, it's getting more attention now.
Wouldn't that be an indirect buff for players though since the AI is now targeting a relative tanky but lower DPS ship compared to other much more effective choices.

It's certainly a Janus buff. Fire Ze Missiles!

Though losing an Atlas means losing the hangar bonus, so those vipers get a lot less evasion.
