No sequel required. Just add more to this game.
2.)
Babylon 5. Bab 5 space battles with a turn based system like this. And epic camera.
You could tell a more battle laden Bab 5 story with a bit of a streamlined plot, for example of a orinigal character going through the ranks in Eath Force, ranging fom the Dilgar war, to the minbari war, to the shadow war, to the War agaisnt clarke. Or go full Alternative and twist the Plot.
As for a sequel? The BSG universe is very limited in what you can do. I guess you could explore Colonial politics and certain aspects of that, but it'd be pretty limited. I can only imagine a sequel to this game being set shortly after Deadlock and shows more of the first Cylon War or a game set in an alternate reality where the sneak attack on the Colonies wasn't as devastating (the Cylons didn't expect it to be such a clean sweep) and you're now in command of rallying the fleet and fighting back.
Sequel where the armistice didn't happen.
Sequel regarding blackops after the armistice.
Or as stated by Phil, alterative history where the fall of the 12 didn't happen.
Ship design would be neat, but I feel it'd just fall into a minmax approach, as much as I'd personally love it. And hell yes to more boarding. I'd love to see more aggressive boarding attacks from the Cylons, and to be able to respond in kind.
- Maybe real-time battles this time, like in Empire at War.
- Cylon campaign :>
- Modding
- (decent) modding support, especially including the ability to import ship models, skins etc that we make
Not sure how married we are to wego - I'd like to see the possibility of fighting in realtime at some point.
That was a long time ago. And money talks.
Frack, B5 even made it onto a streaming network.
One no one ever heard of that doesn't even work on a firestick...but still.
This is current, the creator of Babylon 5 said as recently as a few weeks ago the studio has no interest in creating anything new B5 related because of petty politics and just make dough off selling the old series. The only reason you hear about any B5 project being a movie is because the creator has rights to that, but not anything else.
