We'll look at a better solution for the next update.
I am playing on a PC using mouse and keypad. After the first mission I was able to look at ship designs the small carrier (cant remember the name of it) was listed so I purchased with 3 turns to build. It was not built by the time the game suggested I build my first ship and then I got stuck at the requirment to rush build, Interestingly I just loaded the last save game and I had the suggested ship (adamant I believe) built and everything was fine. The DLC ship I had queud was no longed in the build que.
How did you access the screen to build ships? i.e. what buttons/keys did you use? I'm trying to work out how you got to that screen before it's shown in the tutorial. Thanks.
I can't tell you the exact key presses to get there, but I was able to get to the 'build ships' menu and set a Bezerk to be built.
And yes, it was after abandoning an earlier campaign (without the DLC). I abandoned the first campaign because the "signals" battle never ended, despite having no more targets and scouting everywhere.
I abandoned my second campaign because I couldn't proceed since I didn't have enough to rush the build of the Manticore.
I've not had any issues on my third run through.
It would be great to have a campaign choice that just started us with a skeleton fleet, where we didn't have to always do the "signals" and so on scripted chapters, and fight it out. This campaign should probably have more of the random missions that pop up, with rewards, to compensate for not having the rewards in the script chapters.
To be truthful, I'm actually on my fourth run through because I bought the PS4 release. I only mention this in case it sounds like I'm negative about the game - I've bought it (and the DLC) twice now.
Thats not the issue. It does not allow you to move forward off the screen because it requires you to fast track the build. if no funds then game is locked.
I understand that, Duane, because I had the same issue and posted about it earlier.
What I wrote was
Of course, if you don't know about the problem before you strike it, too late. The game is locked, and unless you've got a save from before you built the Bezerk (or whatever) then it's time to restart the campaign.
Great, thanks for looking into it!
