Theme lyrics
I would like to know the theme lyrics from the game. Any source of information or clues?
I searched on the game site, google, etc... and nothing.

Indeed, with a very hard interpretation, because it can be translated in a few ways.
It is called Gayatri Mantra. The lyrics (from the show) is:

oṃ bhūrbhuvaḥ svaḥ
tatsaviturvareṇyaṃ
bhargodevasya dhīmahi
dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt
– Rigveda 3.62.10[11]

The commonly accepted translation of what qvor posted above, is the following;

We meditate upon the radiant
Divine Light of that adorable
Sun of Spiritual Consciousness;
May it awaken our intuitional consciousness

wow. I thought it might be a made up language. It sure is pretty in the non-english singing. Thanks GW!

I know it's an old thread, but I was wondering about it myself and google lead here.
It might be Sanskrit, but I can't distinquish the words yet. I think it's possible that it's a made-up thing.

But what's for sure is that it's NOT a Gayatri Mantra.
The main theme from BSG is indeed a Gayatri Mantra, and you can easily distinguish it by the text presented above.

But BSG Deadlock theme is something totally different:

The vocalist on the the main theme was Aminah Hughes. Her website says the lyrics are Sanskrit, but doesn't mention a specific text.

Ok, it's definitely Sanskrit.
Here's what I could hear:

[shau tucchya?] nirgaha [vachei?] antu prakashan nasha naha ida indana yudhan kato nirgahana - knowing no difficulties antu - protector prakAz - light/brightness/the very best prakAzam - openly nAza - extinction/demolition naha - tying/obstruction/binding ida - earth (? A LOT of other possible meanings) indhana - fuel yudhAna - warrior/enemy kaTola - sharp

Still can't distinguish the 2-3 other words, and there's a possimility of error. Maybe try sometime later if I'll have a better headphones, or watch more Indian TV shows :)
But at least it gives a rough idea of what this song is about.

I have emailed the composer to ask if he by any chance still had a copy of the lyrics, or remembered the significance of the lyrics. I will reply again if I get a response.

The composer, Ash Gibson Grieg, sent me the official lyrics!

caturbhyo dighadvarsebhyo'nantaram
anto'prakasah
nasa mahah
idanin tava yuddhan kartum

Translates to:
After four long years
No end in sight
Our losses are great
Now yours to fight

Good for you man! I mean I don't really care personally, but it's nice to see this little saga end up with a win haha.
