Bug report - game stuck on loading screen

I'll try to be as descriptive as I can for context. Hopefully somebody else who's encountered this can lend a hand. Failing that maybe a dev can look in.

I'd finished Chapter 9 and my Daidalos fleet was moored at Aquaria in Helios Delta. I had a second fleet moored at Leonis in Helios Beta. I also had a couple of other ships scattered about that I planned to integrate into a 3rd fleet.
When I was in the War Room, I had the next mission marker displayed at Gemenon. I also had 2 sub-missions displayed at Pallas and Scorpia. So I decided tio have my secondary fleet engage the toasters at Palls to earn some Tylium and requisition points. It turned out to be a saving the diplomat mission. Had to reload it a couple of times before I was able to get a decent starting position otherwise the transport was obliterated beofre I could do anything.

Once I got about 2/3 of the way through the mission I saved my game. Then I finished the battle. Afterwards, I couldn't go back to the War Room - I'd get the battle stats, then it'd go to the loading screen (the one of the Galactica and some Vipers) which loaded almost to the end and then just stayed there.
It wasn't frozen though since the progess bar kept flashing.

I figured it was maybe because I destroyed the fleet before the ship jumped away so I exited the game, loaded up my save,waited for the ship to jump and then destoryed the fleet. Same problem.

Then I just tried waiting. After half an hour I knew something was wrong so here I am.

Anybody got any adivce or comments on this?

I've sent the three .txt files that were there - graphics, videos and config
Are you sure those are the right files? I thought you'd want something from the steam folder directory where I've got the game saved.

ahh, sorry, those are good, but I forgot that we're on Steam here :)

The save games are in \Steam\userdata\{Your UserID}\544610\remote

Hi!

Just heard back on this. The guys have managed to repro the issue, but won't be able to roll a fix for this save game out until 1.06 (the next patch), which might be a couple of weeks away I'm afraid.

Thanks for taking the time to send all the files through, they were essential in finding this issue. I'm sorry that we can't fix it for you easily or instantly

That being said, it's a bummer.

I wanted to +1 this. I fled Hurricane Irma and was looking forward to fracking some toasters. Imagine my dismay when my 'proceed' button results in a loading bar that never quite fills. Looking forward to the update.

So. Because I'm bored. And really don't WANT to redo all the effort I'd gone through. I messed around. I loaded in the stuck save (originally slot 1), saved it into the second slot. Still stuck on the loading screen when I hit proceed. I restarted the campaign, played the first mission, saved it in the third slot.

On a whim I tried to load slot 2 and behold, my electronic voodoo worked. Because the save loaded completely and I'm once more happily murdering toasters.

I would like to say that this has helped but it really hasn't. Where as starting a new campaign in a different save slot and then returning to my original campaign did manage to get me past that loading screen bug, I am however left with a new bug where none of the UI elements appears on the screen where you are at the table. Neither does the menu screen when I press ESC.

So for people who are willing to try this solution, you have a chance that it will work and you will have a chance that it will screw up your UI.

But thanks for the idea, it almost worked for me but then something new came up.

I've got the same problem on the saving the diplomat mision. Is there a workaround or anything? I really don't want to have to wait a couple of weeks for a patch or have to back track in the campaign. I've already wasted several hours because of this bug. Just out of curiosity, is it because of the free corvette you get as a mission reward?
