If you look on Ebay you can find a rig from somebody that spent 2000K in 2012 then pick it up for very low cost and have the best of both worlds.
This is very sad to hear when you can just rap/wine the game like many developers have done for other games. Developers stop being lazy this is not 2005... Get with the times there is a wide base of mac users that use Steam on the MAC OS in 2017. THIS A FAIL!
It’s pathetic. It’s easier to port games across operating systems than it’s ever been. I have both sorts of devices and the vast majority of games I’ve bought on Steam are now available for both. It’s beyond ridiculous that a $50 game with a pop culture franchise released in late 2017 can’t also be run on MacOS. How far does this company have to have its head up its collective rectums?
But hey, I'd love a Mac-native version -- I'm running this on a 2010 Mac Pro with 12-core 3.46 Ghz CPUs, Nvidia 1070, etc, a perfectly servicible modern game platform for almost any use, despite being 8 years old...gotta love the longevity and build quality of Macs.
Do you realize how many of you idiots, Yes calling 70% of your userbase idiots that still have the moronic misconception that you don't need antimalware and antivirus software nearly a flipping decade after the architecture change?!
You are just plain ole x86 hard like us pc users. Also what kind of moron buys anything that doesnt have a industry standard ethernet port? Then to add injury to insult the adapter at the apple store is 40 bucks while the far better made generic equivalent cost 5-10 bucks. Do you macheads have any idea how hard it is to diagnose basic route issues with a mac because of that? I have to listen to some i-diot in california tell me its my fault they have crappy internet even though if they could wire in so the 30+ wireless radiuses that are jamming their 1gigabit signal down to 5mbps wouldnt be a problem because you know cable is sheilded..
If you are in Film Production or General editing you are right to use a mac, even some musical application you are still probly ok to use a mac. Playing games on a mac is about as stupid as gaming on wireless by preference. There are persons exempt from that judgement but they also built thier macs via the hackintosh method which means they can dual boot operating systems and thus are not impeded by retail locking
in otherwords
TL;DR
Its not worth the devs time to make the game for mac for the sake of maybe 30-90 people of which 20-35 may actually buy the game over a 3 year period.
Time put in would not equate to income put out
