"Email address not available" error when trying to make an account

So I've been trying to create an account for the past 15 minutes and I always get an error about my email address not being available. I am using an @hotmail.ca if that means anything.

Do you happen to have an account created for our other game The Black Watchmen? If so, that might be why you are getting that error, since the NT4 system will detect that email is already in use in TBW

Since both games are on the same login platform, we allow your TBW login to be used in NT4 without having to create a new account.

I'm Aphelion over there as well and we can troubleshoot together as I'll most likely ask you for more information on the email address you're trying to use and I'm not sure if you'd be comfortable sharing it publicly on the Steam forums.

I do not have an account for The Black Watchmen. However, I saw another similar post saying that this issue could be fixed by using a gmail account. (I had actually tried with 2 different hotmail accounts to no avail). I don't know why but it seems like the login platform has issues with hotmail accounts. Anyways, I made a gmail account and used it to make and account and it worked so I guess my problem is fixed.

Thanks for letting me know. It's odd, I do know we have players that have a hotmail.ca account so I'm not sure why yours was causing an issue. At any rate, if you wish to try again with your hotmail account, keep me posted and we can troubleshoot it together.
