How does Hivemind actually work?

Ok, maybe silly question but I can't find any information.
I launched the hivemind map, actually found a "quest" using the triangulation method. Opend the link in the external mapping winow. Now I get something like a "file" with the ending .hvm and and something that looks like a map with a flashy satelite logo... I can't click anything, nothing is working and I'm stuck. So, whats going on there?

In the objectives menu, I found the name of the .hvm as an active quest but all categories are empty, no shared ressources, no credentials, no documents.

The {something}.hvm is a server address. Start attacking it like you would any .com or .net. Eventually you can crack it, though some of them I've found are pretty hard. I've gotten one totally open and a second one I'm close. I've found the AirCrack to be especially effective for this.

i finished a server.. but how do i trade intel now?
im not sure if i understand the "hvm" command correctly :-/

hvm <servername> -u <user> -p <password>

it says, there is no open port/proxy!?

"No open port/proxy" generally means that you aren't connected to a Turbine C2 card which will accept the use of that command.

I think they did say they are in the middle of a total rework of the hvm server system, I wouldn't be shocked if some of them don't work. Don't forget, this is early access still (even if we are close to launch).

Quick warning, starcode.hvm is bugged bugged, to my knowledge its totally inaccessible, but most of the others are.

Totally agree, I ran sfuzzer for 30 minutes and there is no domain

OMG, thank you! I am usually pretty good at this stuff, I over thunk it. I thought .hvm was a file extentsion.
