Stuck on third objective of Academy - Network scanning

Hello,

So I'm connected to Leon's Computer, and found a username via netscan. I've got the following path: /itsupport/user/jvalenti/c$

But no matter what combination I enter in the Password Attack, I keep getting an error message saying that the username is wrong.

Can anyone help me out?

I think the file you are looking for is /erp/it_mainframe . Now try Password Attacking it. Hint : Jvalenti isn't the one you are looking for ,maybe take another look at the Active Directory (/erp/active_directory .)

I looked into files on Active Directory, but I'm not sure if your advice is correct. I can see many more users (RE referencing has been noted), but the briefing tells me to look for a username with WMI, and JValenti is the only one there.

Now, I'm getting more and more frustrated with the Password Attack module because I don't know what the proper format is for writing out a username (it is like 'jvalenti', or '/jvalenti/c$', or 'Jill Valenti'...?). Can I password attack an email address? Considering that this is a tutorial mission, the game gives you very little to go on.

Nevermind, I managed to figure it out. Gotta say, some of these tutorials are confusing.

Hi,

If I remember that mission correctly you will need to open your Password Attack window and type in /erp/it_mainframe into the top field. Then type jvalenti into the bottom field and use John the Ripper from there...

That is correct. Took me a little bit to put it together too.

1. See what happens when you do a Sfuzzer for a longer period of time.
2. If there is more information presented. Use it with the missing PW attack.

Hint: Its not /erp/it_mainframe

OK ,so i redid the certificate ,and it has changed COMPLETELY. It used to be /erp/it_mainframe and username bchambers. But now you have to find a mail-server (Which is new BTW) and PW attack it with jvalenti (so yes on the longer sfuzzer, should you get stuck.) You would of course have known it if you played it before release out of early access ;), guess they changed it. So......... No Troll ,just updated and yes, joke's on you for me finding it out <3.
