I am already on the 3rd objective w/c says launch password attack using john the ripper. i already cracked the password w/c is "uncrackabl3!" however agent Dylan seems to fail to recognize the progress and now im stuck! Can you please help?

one more thing. does my progress automatically saves? i want to logout however i dont to start all over again. thank you for your kind reply!

I'm having the same issue too. I managed to get the password, and from what I can understand once you get it the mission should be complete. However despite finding the password the mission just wont' complete. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to use the password somehow?

EDIT : For the AD training you don't need to do anything with the password, the certification finishes when the password is cracked

Are you sure you're not confusing your objectives? You might be trying to crack the target for the Active Directory certification, but the Network Scanning certification has you cracking the password for a different target.

Are you sure about that? I got the password, but nothing happened when I did. So I assumed that maybe there was something that you had to do with it in order to complete the training.

All I know is that I managed to use the password cracker to find it, but the objectives keep saying that I still need to find it...

Tried it myself and it worked.
As soon as the PW attack module finished the "mission success" screen appeared.

What does your current objective says ?
If it says "Perform low level attack [...]" that means you're green to launch the PW Attack module and complete the missions

If it says "Find the IT Admin username" that means the game doesn't record it as being "found", you need to click on it on the Active Directory.
(As a part of the tutorial, during the "main campaign" you're rarely asked to do that)

The objective just continues to tell me to launch a password attack using JohnTheRipper. I launched the password attack, got the password... And it's still telling me to launch the attack.

See? There's even a picture of what I'm looking at right now. I don't know what else I need to do. I got the password, and if there's nothing else that needs to be done with it, then what else am I missing?

Sorry you're having this issue, but I'll be able to help!

I've noticed via your screenshot that you were able to crack the password of The ERP/IT Mainframe WMI, but for that objective, we're asking you to crack a different user's Mail account.
Look for another IT employee and look for a subdomain that could be used for internal mail, then try to crack that!

And to answer your question, yes the game saves your progress automatically, as well as any of the data you've entered in your notepad!
