Saves not working

Hey am I doing somthing wrong because my save games are emty if I quit the game. It's fine if I dont quit buit if I quit the game there all gone?. I been usings the codes for now but just wondering is this a bug or a setting I have wrong? cheers NeK

This sounds like a bug... which operating system are you running? In which folder is the game installed?
In your user > AppData > Roaming folder do you see a Lizardcube folder?

running Win10 and there is no Lizardcube folding in my appdata/roaming now am wondering if this is to do with having my steam libary installed on a different HDD? it's on my G:\ drive. I did a search on my C:\ and found no Lizardcube folder at all actully hmmm.....

Sorry I was wrong it's not in appdata/roaming but in <USER FOLDER>/Documents/Lizardcube/The Dragon's Trap.

Does the path to your user folder include any non-english characters? I wonder if that could be causing a problem.

The installation path for the game shouldn't affect the save data, so G:\ is fine.

I have no Lizardcube folder in my documents like I said I did a complete search of my C: and found no Lizardcube folders at all.

I just found this folder but after looking at the files names and date created I think these are only to do with how save games work.... Can you till me where temp save games are located because like I said the game get saved while am in game and playing but its only after I quit the game they disappear.

Can you clarify where is your regular Documents folder located?

The saves/ folder as you discovered isn't related.

The game tries to save/write the file every time it needs too (there's no "moving" or "waiting after exit") but as the game is running even if disk save fails the game has the saves in RAM anyway. Normally we catch write errors (as errors needs to be handled for console version) but it looks like something doesn't work.

I'll look at the code in details, probably will push a build with more logging so we can get an idea where the issue is coming from. You are the first person to report such issue. Sorry for that :(

*EDIT* In the meanwhile, could you boot the game, change some Options, then start the game, and quit. Then look for the wb.log file in exe64/ folder and post a copy here (or on pastebin.com) ? It might include some relevant information to understand what's going on. Thanks!
