Ah, that would make sense. I'm having a lot of trouble hitting people in general which means I'm having a lot of trouble gaining momentum/getting on fire. Any tips on how to hit? I do exactly what the tutorial says yet the hit only lands about 10% of the time.
What I normally do when I get objectives that requires lots of hits or triggering fights is: lose the faceoff and try to hip-check their center player and the one that gets the puck, you will just need one more big hit to trigger the momentum after that. Once you have it, try to position yourself and get ready to hold the R-Stick in the direction of the opposing player. Works the best when you're going head to head and from the sides. Hip-checks are also viable and probably the best bet if you can antecipate your opponent, it will also hit multiple targets (don't worry to much if you hit your own teammate). And you can always giveaway or dump the puck so you don't waste momentum time holding it.
