For us( who play a long time ), link is a good option, i was so happy to start playing here but when i found out it's new accounts i unistalled the game, to play on the cliente, i hope you guys can link and give the gameres a choise, if they want log on with virtys accounts or steam accounts.
Thanks, have nice day ;)
Why would you want to play on steam. A client is better.
Why fragment the already low playerbase even more?
Awesome I am glad that you are looking into this. Also it would be awesome if you could increase the number of characters on one account from 5 to 8 or 10.
It should be possible to login with the steam account on the website.
If I got this right the user-table is the same anyway, so there should not be a problem regarding duplicated accounts. If there are any, you could offer a database change for those duplicates, so they can rename. I really do not see any reasons why there should be two different userbases for exact the same content. As others said before:
->Will result in less reviews (all old players can not write reviews)
->Will result in worse reviews (new players tend to give negative results more often then old ones, who already understand the idea of the game and play it for years for a reason)
->Will result in less advertising/trending/attraction
Happy that you will look into it and really looking forward to use my steam account to login on the website.
Oh and btw.: Please also consider a mobile client. That would be even more awesome!
A mobile version of the game might be a bit too much right now, but it would be cool of we could have a simple alert app that would notify us when ever one of our characters has an empty job queue
Or something like that yes. Maybe the first version could include to give the char basic jobs like chopping wood, returning home, sleep and so on ... no quest stuff or complex jobs or travelling itself. Just to do basic stuff on the place where you are now or return home.
Just so you know, we are monitoring our progress with Steam this week, then we will be confirming our planning for the coming months.
So keep sharing us your thoughts, it's the best way to help us.
