Question about the story. SPOILERS
I watched the anime recently and I thought it was pretty good. So I'm doing some research on this game and I noticed there is a big difference between the game and anime. The anime takes place in the present, while the majority of the game takes place in London. Is this true? Does that mean the anime is misleading?

The anime does take place in the present but it covers only the prologue of the game (roughly, with some differences). The game is much longer than the anime; it couldn't possibly fit in 13 episodes (or even 26 unless they cut out a lot of the story).

Woah. The entire anime just covers the prolougue? Just how long is the prolougue? So does this mean the real actual story is in London and not the present?

Length depends on your reading speed and on whether you decide to do every single choice before jumping into the main story. That could be a couple of hours to more than ten. It's more accurate to consider the London (Weather Vane) arc the "main" story rather than the "real" story.

Thank you for the reply. I'm just kind of surprised that anime just covers the prolougue only. So what's the London arc like? I know some of the characters have different names and all. But are the scenes just as good as the prolougue or anime? In the anime, there's many interesting scenes with Rikka, like the scene when she falls on top of the Protagonist.

You can pretty much expect it to be like the prologue in format: there's one common arc for everyone, and depending on your choices you will then delve into a specific character's route (with the exception of Aoi whose route is locked until you finish the others). I'd expect anyone who enjoyed the prologue/anime to like it as a whole.

Thank you very much! You've been really helpful to me.I have two last question.Since the London arc takes place in the past, I'm guessing the technology is not modern, right? For example, they probably don't have cellphones like they do in the prolougue, right?

Also, What do you think about "Da Capo III Platinum Partner"?

Apparently, it focuses on the Kazami Gakuen side. So that actually might be closer to what the anime was like?

The technology won't be modern, but the emphasis is on magic.

I've played about 3/5 of D.C. III P.P. It all takes place present day (at least from what I've seen). It's more of a continuation of the prologue; it's closer to the anime in the sense that it focuses on those characters and not the ones in the past.

Thank you for answering my questions. I'm going to buy this game. Mangagamer said that if this sells well and if they see a lot of requests for the fandisc, they will localize the other D.C. III games like Platinum Partner. I really want to play Platinum Partner.
