So yeah honestly I'd just say start with the girl that interests you the most in the start really.
I'd do Sara or Charles first, Ricca and Himeno foreshadow the final 2 routes while the other 2 are independant.
I don't think your choices in the prologue actually matter. I just reloaded to see everyone's scenes.
Yeah, I actually didn't even notice the first side story was unlocked before doing Sara's route, but after I did it I also kind of wished I had done it first. It really feels like a natural extension to the beginning of the common route and stuff in it gets referenced constantly in the common route anyway.
I'd suggest going from 1st side story -> Sara -> Himeno -> Charles -> Ricca -> Tomoe -> Elizabeth -> Aoi side story -> Aoi. Seems like its not good reading the final side story without D.C. II though.
