VR player cannot get started

I have checked a couple threads and tried the updates however it is still not working for me, i am on a standard vive.

Same issue. Yes the game run fine for the Pc player but nothing on VR it keep says waiting for the Vr Player * Im on WMR*

It's working now after reading the answer from the Developer.



Here is how to download the fix :

Step 1

In your Steam Library, right-click on the Panoptic Demo entry, and in the menu, select Properties.

Step 2

In the window that opened, navigate to the BETAS tab, and from the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" dropdown, select moreheadsets - Hotfix for WMR/Vive Pro detection.

You do not need any password to access this branch.

Step 3

The build should update automatically (it should be a very small download too), and you can see that in your library, the Panoptic Demo entry now has [moreheadsets] behind it.

Step 4

Please let us know through here if the game now works for you!

We went ahead and pushed this fix to the main branch. Hopefully any other person affected by this problem should now have the game run smoothly again.

Same for me on Oculus Rift S , using the xbox controller or touchs does nothing.

I'm also on Rift S and it doesn't detect my headset :(

Can you elaborate? Do you not see anything in your headset? Are you running the main branch or the preview one?

Did this get resolved? I have the same issue with an Oculus Quest 2. I am linked to the PC through a cable. I open the game and it won't detect a VR player.

Using the quest it appears to still think that I am the PC player. I can even start the tutorial as the PC player using my VR headset. If I point and pull the triggers with the VR at the waiting for the VR player section nothing happens.

Is anyone having this issue. I couldn't find anything in discussions or on Google.

i have the occulus rift s and when you launch the game the pc player works just fine but nothing happens on the vr side you only get the occulus menu nothing was launched on that end
