Restore cut characters like ant-man from game files

Ok so characters like Ant-Man, Black Panther & Vision ARE in the game files for the PC version of Disney Infinity Gold Edition. But all contents of the folders are in .zip's that I can't open or extract. Anyone who knows how to access these files to bring the characters back into the game?

From what I understand there were a number of new characters planned when the game was cancled, that were never completed. So even if you could open those files up, I doubt the characters would be playable.
