Can I use a game controller on pc?

I have a dualshock 4 with official Sony bluetooth dongle.
I have the game on pc and my kids love it but it would be better if I could use the controller.
Theres nothing in the control settings for controller, no option to change anything in fact. Just inverting controls.

I don't have issues with xinput controllers (e.g. Xbox 360 controller) with this game. Have you tried using the Steam client controller settings for dualshock 4?

No actually I haven't. I have a problem with assetto corsa not responding and they recommended to remove all of those but it didn't work.
I'll have a look, thanks.
My dualshock works with other games tho, is it still worth trying?
