Update: Figured it out. There's a safe space between the two green flies near the mid-bottom of the screen that you can camp and kill the red fly that spawns. You'll occasionally hit the bottom green fly and middle gray fly doing this

I already got the achievement, but that video definitely would have been helpful beforehand. Thanks for the help anyway dude!
