Sally Face Bug/Glitch List Compendium!
Heya guys! I've always been a big fan of point and click adventure type games since the days of Maniac Mansion, Grim Fandango, Monkey Island. I've even played some really ancient obscure stuff such as Hugo's House of Horrors and The Last Half of Darkness(the old DOS one!)

Sally Face was an awesome experience, and I can't wait for Chapter 5 to come out!

I got the idea for this since I tend to be a magnet for running into weird game glitches and stuff, so I thought I'd keep of log of what I managed to catch. I also noticed quite a few posts in the Steam discussion page here were about bugs and such so it might be best to combine them into one master list. I ran into quite a few of these bugs when I replayed the game a few times going for 100% achievements. If any of you guys have any bugs you'd like to add to the list go for it!

Also we'd be helping Mr. Steve Gabry by stomp'n out some bugs! Thank you for this awesome game dude!

(As a side thought some of these bugs might land up being useful for speed runners.)

SALLY FACE BUG LIST:
--------------------------------
(Note: I've noted how severely each bug can possibly impact game play.)

Chapter 1:
----------
Minor:
1.) Playing the gear boy when you have the glitched gear boy game will lock out accessing items until you interact with something.

2.) After you complete House of the Wretched and speak with Megan the ghost Sally Face's dialogue has a small typo where he says, "lable" instead of "label". (Not really a bug just a small typo I caught.)

Medium:
1.) One time I was able to desync the item menu and the goal menu so the goal menu would be displayed when the item menu was closed. Opening the item menu would hide the goal menu. I believe I was able to resync them with some fiddling around. Not sure if this could actually cause problems doing this at certain points in the game.

Major:
1.) You can open the item menu during almost any cutscene or dialogue and play the gear boy or interact with certain items you have. This can cause text to overlay, or break sequences. A good example is escaping the one-way hole in the wall in Chapter 2, or being able to repeat certain scenes like showing Megan to Larry.

2.) Sometimes the door at the beginning of the game won't display, "Batteries Included" even if you've entered the correct number and the panel lights up. Currently there is no solution or known reason why this happens to certain players and not others.

Chapter 2:
-------------
Minor:
1.) (Noted from above:) Using the Gear Boy after entering the hole in the wall which warns you that it is the point of no return will actually put you back before you entered the hole.

Chapter 3:
-------------
Minor:
1.) Reloading the game after lifting the carpet up results in the tear in the carpet vanishing. This may occur even if you don't actually see the tear in the carpet at all, just the reloading at this checkpointed area.

Major:
1.) Opening the volume options during the "Premonition" telephone key button puzzle causes the numbers at the top of the screen to vanish. This makes the puzzle impossible to finish.

2.) Not sure how I did this, but I somehow have the Rubik's Cube item in my inventory from Chapter 2, and its text is overlaid on every single item in my inventory. That made it impossible to read the text of the items I had. Deleting my save game and starting over fixed it.

Chapter 4:
-------------
Minor:
1.) You can click to interact with the Coffee Pot before it becomes an action you can actually perform. It doesn't do anything, but it does react as those you would be able to if you are button mashing.

2.) Larry gets stuck in place after speaking with David in the apartments.

Chapter 4: When Sally and Larry are using their powers to move the pillar down each floor, the pillar event/object doesn't seem to completely disappear from floor three. After moving the pillar, using Sal's guitar at the pillar or any point right of where it was on floor three moves the camera back to the pillar, brings up the strumming interface, and starts the metronome. Also, using Larry's power while the pillar spot is on screen produces the "object moved from the dead world to the living world" sound effect. I hope this is a bug and not just some complex puzzle I haven't worked out yet :-P.

Actually I found another bug in Episode 4 I'd categorize as major. The part where Sally and Larry swap places in the Addison apartments it's possible to have Sally and Larry switch to the other's dimensional plane! This completely breaks the game, and I'm not sure how it happened, but it's happened to me twice now.

In chapter 4 it won't allow me to interact with anything when I am Sal or Larry. I can't go through any doors and it won't give me the option to.

So in episode 3 I got the sticky tack. after pressing play it moves you to the gameboy mini games, once you leave them you are back in the apartment building.

Update: Playing a bit more I now realise this completely skipped the school part of the game !!!!!!!
Update 2: After testing it a couple of times it only would happen if you play through the episodes continuously. For some reason the game thinks you still have the gameboy so it lets you play the mini games from episode 2, once you quit it, game is confused where you are and as the one pre set up place you can access the games is the apartment building it will automatically put you there. Now when that happens the game will think you have compleated the school bit. (Just my guess as to why it happens)

This exact one happened to me! I was so confused by what happened and wanted to see if it had happened to anyone else
