The first one: after Sally completes the step, he is pushed a little more forward. Doesn't feel right at all. Notice that there's no background scrolling going on.
The second one: I select a dialog option, and then Talk pops up.
The TV stand issue is a bit more of a mess than I described: on my second playthrough I didn't get the floating text marker identifying the TV stand as an active object, but I was still able to press Space to push it and then I got the marker for Game Boy. But on my first playthrough I got the marker for Game Boy without pushing the TV stand out of the way, and then the glitch shown in the pic in my first post happened.
The slight slide in the walk, I'll see if there's a quick fix otherwise I can live with that one. This was most likely caused during playtesting when I increased the original walk speed of Sal so it didn't feel like he was dragging too slowly. There are always give and takes in game development like that.
The TV stand - there is no text pop up for that, so that is not a bug. However, walking over top of it is definitely an error. Though I can only really see that happening with a frame rate dip where it doesn't calculate the collision quick enough. I'll look into other possible causes either way, just in case.
Thanks again for helping out with feedback and taking the time to show examples.
I tried switching controls (keyboard, X360 gamepad, XOne gamepad), but it won't work.
And now I have the same problem as the OP, Sally slides a bit more in the direction he was moving in. That wasn't an issue before o_o
Another thing: If I press the action button in dialogues too fast (to speed up), Sally won't react/walk anymore. Here you have to quit the game.
Nevertheless, Sally Face is a great game and I'm looking forward to the next episodes :)
Reinstalled Sally Face and started the Game Boy game. I walked a bit to the right and examined everything on my way, then suddenly I was able to move to the left and then I never had the issue again. Not really sure what exactly helped, but ok.
But now I have another issue! After finishing Level 5 "Her Room" the screen switches to the graveyard again, but there is neither the character nor the music anymore, background only.
Thank you for trying to help me! Do you need my savegame?
Oh and about Chug: He's now on 3F again :)
The part with Chug and 504 were originally included in the main story line for the episode but people seemed to get hung up on that part during testing. So I decided to split it into a different path. The Gear Boy was always an extra feature because I personally like when games have secrets to uncover.
I'm still a bit skeptical about all the optional content. If Sally doesn't meet Megan in Ep 1, then the dialog with Larry about her in Ep 2 won't make much sense.
And even though I missed most of the optional content again, looking for the items and the paranormal spots in Ep 2 became a bit tedious, not to mention the minigame. But then again, I'm probably still going to replay Ep 2 to find the secrets :).
