Stuck upside down

Spoiler Alert.....

In Episode 2 after recieving the picture of megan from todd my character was upside down. Tried to exit to menu and restart but I remain upside down.

On a more serious note, that is very bizarre! So Sal was just upside down right after looking at the close up of Megan's photo? There's no logical reason for that to happen... Hm, well since the game saves the player's location it will save you as upside down, which is why restarting won't fix the issue. Have you tried playing the Gear Boy? That may reset you properly upon exiting. I'd hate to have you start over from that far in. If the Gear Boy doesn't fix it, let me know.

Hey thanks for taking the time to respond.

I went to try what you said but luckily the game had reverted back to just before getting the photo, So I spoke to todd and got the photo as normal and it seems fine.

Now I can get back to finishing chapter 2.

(edit) It happened in a different location this time but using the Gear Boy seems to resolve it.

No problem! I try to put priority on any potential bugs. Glad you were able to continue. It's very strange that it would happen the first tile, let alone happen again. I've never seen anything like that happen before and I can't think of any possible reason for it, so it's hard to say why. I'll keep an eye out for any culprits though. Thanks for letting me know!

Same thing happened to me talking to the lady behind door 101 at the start of the game. When I went back to the main menu, SF was on the screen, upside down, and I could control him and move him around the menu screen with ADSF, but couldn't select any menu items.

Try deleting your local save file, that should fix it.

the same thing happened to me except that I couldn't interact with things. I just quit the application and went back in and it seemed to work fine! it would be a drag to have to delete your save file. Hope this helps.

I had the same issue happen to me this morning. I've been recording my letsplay video, entered the room 402, walked around a bit (entering all rooms, including the bath), then I walked to the cat sitting on the couch and pressed A. Sally went in front of the cat to his 'dialogue position' and seemingly disappared. I walked away from TV and - you guessed it - Sally was upside down (also his animations seem to be mirrored). I couldn't do anything but move around, so I went to main menu (part of Sal's body could be seen on top) and loaded the save file - Sal was still flipped upside down.
Using Super Gear Boy helped though.

I hope it can give the dev some hints as to why this happens.

Thanks for the info. I still can't reproduce this for the life of me ha. Though I added in a failsafe that I'll push through in the next patch. Hopefully it will prevent this issue, though it's hard to say with something so rare like this.

Guess I should read the comments. I already mentioned this happened to me after talking to the druggie from Pittsburgh the second time.

I had the same option years ago and it's the only reason I stopped playing Sally Face (literally I couldn't progress so just ended up stopping).
Looking forward to trying it again and hopefully it won't happen again with the newer patches!
