how do you beat level 5?

I've been going at this for about a solid 40 minutes and i can not for the life of me find out how to beat this stage. There doesnt seem to be any pattern to follow or any audotory or visual clues and my eyes are tired form looking. any help is appreciated.

Down from the tree ,then left ,then down and to the right

Get a closer look at the small pebble around - you want to go the way that has NO pebble on it (but not the one you came from, obviously).
