Its close to Sword city in terms of gameplay, but not as polished. and id honestly recommend sword city over this one if you have to chose.
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm keeping one eye on Sword city (just waiting for a bigger price drop, I have a decent backlog so I'm not in a hurry), but loved the artstyle used here and the price seems decent.
So you say that there is no class change, like ever? Kinda sad, didn't mind that, at least there is the constant map and so on.
You still have the 'Junk Weapon/ armour' and tiers of material to add to it to make the item, but now if you have all of it in your inventory you can auto make it rather than selecting and adding each recipe component. It's a lot better honestly.
Although it's not as polished or with as much depth of character building as Stranger of Sword City, I prefer this as the dungeons are much better designed imo and there's more variety of items to find/ craft.
So dungeons are better designed in this game? I have never tried Stranger of sword city, but some reviews expressed their disappoinment dungeons layout wise. I'll keep an eye on this game though, as it seems very interesting.
Having played both this and SOSC(and Generation Xth). I'd say the dungeons here are more complex, mechanics are more varied and fun as well.
Also later on in Operation Babyl, the story has one of the most daring plot turn I've seen, yet so well executed into its setting. It gets better.
I see, thanks for your opinion here. I'd like to ask another thing: Is here aswell th "age" system? Do people age and inevitably die (this happened in elminage gothic and similar games)?
