Surprise when leaving Prison. Can someone please explain what happened?

Hello,

yesterday we went into the Prison. Even though it was full of surprises, we did it and on our way back we had one last "little" surprise. This zombie HORDE appeared at the beginning of the bridge to prison. Size of this horde shown in the video was already reduced by about 50% when our second car got cornered by the zombies, exploded and killed many of them.

Can someone please explain to us, what happened? How these zombies get there, why there were so many of them? And why they were following us for such a long time?

Sorry about that issue. It's a bug at the moment partly with that island and horde spawning i believe, This'll be fixed soon though. If you see it happen voting for a restart with /restart can often fix it, until the next time atleast.

If you want as well though you can ping a mod or JB on discord and we'll come /kill the bugged horde of zombies for you too so it doesn't cause much issues!

Had this happen to me as well.

I was on night 13 or something and the amount of zeds that spawned was insane.
The zeds actually chased me from the bridge to the prison, to the other end of bitterhold, i ended up taking them all down but the zeds appeared to be "thinking" slowly, they seemed to follow me but only to where i previously had been 5-10 seconds ago, making fighting them pretty easy. I ended up taking down over 300 zeds by the end of the night

Thank you for reply. Atleast I know what happened. It was funny surprise, unfortunately we lost a car with our stuff, but I have never seen so many zombies at once :D

No problem, go into the prison, spend there a night/two and then go outside, this welcome party will be waiting for you :D

while waiting for the horde? the horde doesnt spawn inside the prison at all? interestttinnggg

No, it does not. They cannot get into the prison, so they just start accumulating outside the prison and because of the bug, they will not despawn.

I thought it was planned event thing after doing the Prison. It is a nice thing to have actually. just perhaps have it despawn after like 5min hahahahaha
