A few initial observations

Just picked this up as I was looking for a new zombie game to sink my undead teeth into.

I know it's EA so that's fine. Found a few glaring problems up front.

First the tutorials seem to be buggered. I would get the "gather enough cloth" then I would make the sleeping back, but after completing the next set of tasks, it came back to the cloth one. I had to keep getting cloth, that set would be complete and the next set was available but then after completing it, the cloth one would come back. This happened about 4 or 5 times, finally I collected the cloth again and it didn't return.

Another problem is VPN. I use NordVPN for my everyday browsing. I know this can cause some issues and when I loaded up, the VPN was active. I could browse the servers but it would never connect. Kept saying "connection established..." but would never go past that. Tried this on many servers, same issue. I exited and paused my VPN then went right into a server.

Of course as I was going through the tutorials I was on my first night. The VPN (which I had told it to pause for an hour) kicked back in and I got booted before I could get the survive the first night task done. Oh well.

Doors can be a little janky to work with but you get used to it. Zombies are strange. When they come out a window the sound of breaking the windows almost sound like gunfire. Also if they're inside and planning to come out a window I'll open a door and rather than going out the door, they'll keep pathing to the window. I do like the zombies. Some are faster than others. Generally a good axe swing will take them down in 1 or 2 hits.

Overall I like it and will keep pushing on to see how it goes. Looking forward to updates to this.

Quick update. Went back into the same server. It was 9PM. Stayed in a house until 7AM. No hoarde came. The task was flashing on the "prepare for the horde" but all the tasks in the guide up to that point were done. The hoarde never came and I didn't get the 4 hour task completed.

Found a gun (finally) and did a head shot but then ran out of bullets and couldn't switch over to a melee weapon in time (pressing 1-4 didn't work) so they got me.

Still lots of fun here and interesting things to explore. Good work devs!

This is by design, and it's good that they stop hoards from appearing for a newly entered player.

If you came in earlier, then the hoard would have come.
