How big is this map?
I was trying to find a comparison to other popular survival games online but failed :(

Pretty big, I would say it's slightly bigger than GTA 5's map for comparison

Wow, that's bigger than I thought. Thanks for the info!
The entire map size including the sea is 8km x 8km = 64 km2.
The distance per grid is 800m, and there are up to 10 grids wide x high.

바다를 포함하여 전체맵크기는 8km x 8km = 64 km2 입니다.
1 그리드당 거리는 800m이며 가로 x 세로 10그리드까지 있습니다.

Thank you! Btw, I think I saw you on the scum forums ;)
GTA 5 is bigger. More to the point the caling is more realistic, it would take a long time to walk the GTA map, but not long at all to walk the STN map.
Scaling is not just a matter of apparent ground scale but also human movement.

Although this map seems large, it is quick to explore. This is because there are many buildings that cannot be entered, and there is also no reason to explore them, since the loot is either from other locations or practically non-existent. Unfortunately, the feeling that this map gives me is of a large but empty one.

There are even beautiful mountainous areas with open fields that would be ideal for building a base, but we do not have tools of this type in the game (such as floors, walls, roofs, among others).

And the way this game is, it has many bugs. I would say that this would be a headache for us. Because I can't count the amount of already lost from vehicles getting stuck in rocks or other objects around the world. And the /stuck command only works for the character and not for vehicles, unfortunately.

So in terms of size/exploration, I would say that this map is smaller than 7 Days to Die, No One Survived and Night of the Dead. Unlike these other games, here we don't have a real incentive to explore as there isn't a large variety of resources or loot to get in the game. Maybe if this game had the Mist Survival mechanic of being able to collect some objects to use in our base, such as beds, cabinets, water fountains, among other things. It would make exploring the game much more fun in my opinion.
