Games like police Stories

I enjoyed the campaign, and want something that's a lot like police games and has local co op as well, and i would also like for there to be more shooting first and asking questions later.

Top down, 3D, 2D? Local Coop as in Split Screen or LAN?

DoorKickers: Double Action Squad is a good call, 2D, but not top-down. There's also "Hot Brass", but I haven't tried it, it doesn't really look as appealing.

DoorKickers 2 are awesome, but it's not an action game.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is always a good call if you can play online. It's on sale on uPlay.

Insurgency: Sandstorm provides fast-paced, thrill-ride military shooter experience. FPP, Coop.

Ground Branch never really goes on sale, it's a milsimy 3D slower paced FPP tac shooter.

And then, you have ARMA 3 APEX with it's coop campaign, but game's really hardcore.

hot brass is very very good and top down like police stories. its like top down zero hour. i think it has up to 4 player local coop

There's a game I play called Intravenous that I'd compare to Police Stories somewhat, but not fully. You're a vigilante in that game and it's a lot more stealth than anything, as one bullet could potentially alert the entire base.

Of course, it's your choice whether you want to do it stealthy, loud, careless, thorough, etc... But sadly no co-op. Still a good game to check out if you like this one, though.

It has coop and pvp and you can play the missions in lots of different ways.

If you want to play a very similar game to this, except in 3D and with more than 2 characters, you should definitely try SWAT 4, if you haven't already. You can get that on GOG and is the game I always played until i got my hands on this one.

In SWAT 4 you have the same rewards for completing missions cleanly as in this game and that game can also be quite challenging, with randomly places enemies and random encounters.
