bomb wires?

i know that i can hit suspects to get the code, but if i want to cut a wire to defuse a bomb, are there any clues that tell which wire to cut or is it purely random?

From my experience its random. Haven't found anything to suggest otherwise.

it was created just in case all suspects are dead so that player will still have a chance to complete the mission

So you need to kill all the suspect to get the option to cut the wire? If so, that's stupid. It should be an option for all the time!

you pretty much misunderstood the guy :D he meant if there are no suspects that you can learn the code; you still have the chance to defuse bomb randomly. you can cut the wires any time without any requirements but mostly it goes bad
