Unplayable

So i've been trying to start up my game of cold steel but for some reason i can't start up the game on stream. When I press the play button it doesn't start up, no game screen at all. I double checked all that is required and even reinstalled everything. The only thing that opens is the configuration tool.

When I first got it, it worked fine before I stopped to play the earlier games. I haven't done anything or download anything that could have made steam not let me play cold steel. That is until now when I'm trying to play cs.

Hi,

1. Are you pressing “Save & Launch” when exiting the configuration tool?
2. If so, try unchecking the “Show this Window on Launch” option, close the window, then launch the game by pressing “Play” on Steam. Does that work for you?

It does not. I've been trying to start it without opening the configuration tool.

Have you tried tweaking options around in the configuration tool? Perhaps set everything to minimum/maximum and try opening the game from there.
Might also try opening the game directly from your files rather than through Steam.

EDIT: You said you've already reinstalled the game, but just to make sure it is not a dependency issue, you could try and verify file integrity

I finally got it working! I found out the main problem is that I didnt' have vcredist installed!! The "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable" one
