As for the actual fight, you are meant to barely survive it . Scroll to the botom of this page for some tips and pictures of weak points : https://www.neoseeker.com/the-legend-of-heroes-trails-of-cold-steel/Final_Chapter
What level are you? I think the boss is like level 70 or so, so if you're too far underlevelled, you'd need to go back and grind in the Old Schoolhouse to get to level 65 or so. Yes, you can do that just before the point of no return. Shining Pom Bait under the DLC tab will help. There should be a few free ones.
What difficulty are you playing on?
This battle will likely take a few attempts even once you are dealing damage. You need to consistently hit the boss's weak points so you get follow-up attacks. The higher your difficulty, the less room for mistakes you have. You practically need to hit every single possible follow-up attack to survive.
You might need to write down what the stance looks like and what the audio clip played are and match those with the weakness. Once the boss is under 50% health, they get a different pattern, and two stances are completely identical visually, with the difference being the audio clip.
There are two thoughts for overall strategy - defence of offence. Use Morning Moon to dodge as much as possible to try and boost your survivability, or else use Quinlong(sic) to buff your STR/SPD to 50% and hit for more power and try to plow through the enemy health.
Secondly now you are spoiling BOTH games and ignored messages from 2 people asking you to filter them. So no I dont think I will help further.
A new person to the series reading your post would now know that you fight Crow for some reason and now also the existence of Vermilion.
Unfortunately he doesnt seem to give a F about it. He even made the same post in CS 2 ( granted you know about Crow by then but you dont know about the final fight of CS 2) . He doesnt care that he spoils , only in getting help with the fight . He is now in CS 3 forums asking help with transfering data ( which you cannot ) . He has forgotten about this thread he created since he no longers require help with the fight . So what if it spoils random people reading it ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
