Elliot - Best Healer
Emma - Best Mage
Alisa - Best Support (CP battery)
Of course not everybody will agree since it mostly depends on your setup and some people might find Jusis as the best mage etc.
- protect the party with Platinum Shield from physical attacks with one turn (rather than two turns for adamantine shield)
- buff up STR and SPD
- delay in a pinch
- high ats so I can make him my caster in place of Emma/Elliot
Machias a ton of fun with Juggler and stacking status condition quartz and spamming Petrify shot. Watch as your enemies burn to the ground fighting each other and lashing out in the dark!
Gaius is great for two things: dodge tanking with wrath (because of the long reach of his spear), or using Wild Rage + Chevalier for instant S-craft with a massive damage boost, and that's before 50% STR buffs.
Anyway, I consider Alisa to be a speed mage - she has very high base speed, something like the third highest in Class VII. She can get more turns in compared to Emma, who sometimes doesn't even get a chance to cast in trash battles before enemies get wrecked.
Jusis is a combination fighter/caster, but that makes him kinda bad at both. He's worse at arts than Alisa. Just look at the awful default master quartz he gets.
