Unable to pick up notebook

I'm about 5 hours in, and am currently on the quest where you have to retrieve a notebook from the 2nd floor rest area. I see the notebook laying on the 3rd couch, but no matter how many times I walk by it, the game doesn't seen to recognize that it's there. I get no prompt to pick it up. I've tried approaching it from all angles, and I'm getting nothing. Any workarounds?

I remember doing this it's a pain i cannot remember the exact angel i was able to get it i think it was behind the couch unless the quest is bugged for you just keep trying and good luck

I picked it up without issue from behind the couch.

Finally got it. I had received the quest earlier, but went and completed a different quest first. Even though this quest was still in my quest log, I had to go back to Colette and restart the quest to enable me to pick up the notebook. It was confusing that the notebook was still visible on the couch, even though I guess the quest wasn't technically "active," but at least now I know how juggling multiple quests works in this game. Thanks for the responses.

I've never heard of quests in Trails games becoming inactive (which is not to say skipped past...which can & does indeed happen all the time) and/or being restarted. If that did actually happen, then it sounds like a bug.
