An enemy with an earth efficacy of 100 will take 100% damage from earth-based attacks, an enemy with a water efficacy of 150 will take 150% damage from water-based attacks, and so on.
I have another question.
It is kind of unclear to me about equipment. What stuff should I equip to whom? I know I need to have some balance with quartz slots, but what about trinkets/plushies and stuff? For example, are swordtail badges meant for gun/bow users since it grants dex/acc?
DEX is for avoiding attacks, and ACC(Accuracy) is for hitting (so if you miss a lot ,equip trinkets that grants ACC bonus) enemies with Basic Attack and Crafts (Arts cannot miss)
Just pointing out if you dont know DEF is defence of Basic Attacks and Crafts
and ADF defence againts Arts
E.g. in the img link in the OP, a craft/art that normally has a 20% chance of inflicting Burn only has a 10% chance for that particular enemy(0.20[inflict chance of craft/art] x 0.50[status efficacy]= 0.10); a craft/art that normally has a 30% chance of Seal has a 6% chance of happening for that enemy (0.30 x 0.20 = 0.06).
The reverse is true for status efficacy values over 100 too, so say if an enemy has 200 Burn status efficacy, and you use the craft/art with a 20% chance to Burn, the formula would be 0.20 x 2.00 = 0.40, so yeah, double the chance for it to happen =03.
Still though, you never want to count out low status efficacies, because they can be helpful in a pinch, even if its only a 5% or 10% chance of it happening.
